Guilford Lobster Pound is a family owned business established in 1991. Selling fresh caught lobster daily by its owner Capt. Bart Mansi. "Bart has been lobstering in Long Island Sound since the mid 1970's." Capt. Bart leaves the docks at G.L.P. around 4:00 am daily aboard his 42' Lobster Boat "Erica Page" named after his daughter and brings his catch back to the lobster Pound, where is it weighed and sorted by size then put into 38° ice cold water to insure fresh and lively lobster for its many satisfied customers. Lobsters can be purchased daily and we guarantee you will not get a fresher lobster anywhere else.

Now not only can you get fresh caught lobster, you can also get the freshest lobster rolls around. We use only fresh caught lobster and you will definitely taste the difference.

In 2008 Bart rebuilt the docks and deck at The Lobster Pound. He added some tables, umbrellas and his smiling wife Janice who will be there to greet you and serve you.

Our deck sits on the beautiful Guilford Harbor with views of Faulkner Island to the South, Grass Island to the East and acres of protected Salt Marsh to the West where you can view many different shore birds as well as deer.

Once there you will be served the freshest lobster roll or homemade Clam Chowder on the shoreline. We also serve hot dogs, chili Dogs, Ice Cream and Cold Drinks. You can also BYOB. So come on down and enjoy not only the food the the best view on Long Island Sound. We guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Our deck can also be rented for that special occasion. We can accommodate any of your needs with catering, Clam Bakes, Tents, Sightseeing Trips, etc.
